12 on the 12th

In honor of this triple twelve day, I give you twelve on the twelfth! Hooray!

>> This kid kills me. I'm thinking about making this picture my screen saver. I can't help but chuckle when I look at it. He put that mask on and said, "Me scare Mommy!" That big toe popping out of the sock and how he's figured out how to walk on his broken leg. It almost looks like he's getting ready to boogie down. I love it.

>> Danny drew a snowman this morning. I love his little drawings. I made these super easy chocolate graham cookies. Why is it that I have no problem planning an after school snack but dinner planning gives me loads of anxiety? Maybe if we could eat dessert for dinner I'd be able to chill out a little. And of course, a few staged pictures at 12:12. Danny was pretty excited about it. Cate thinks I'm a weirdo but she goes along with it because she loves me.

>> We dropped off Danny at school and got an ice cream cone to celebrate all those twelves (and just because I was trying to kill some time before volunteering at Danny's school and there's no dirty dishes or crumpled laundry staring me down at McDonald's).  Cate hurt her foot as soon as we got there and spent way more time than I'd like crying on my lap.

>> After school, a trip to the park (since we've got to take advantage of the 45 degree weather). Ray Ray came home with us and rocked his baby to sleep whilst wearing Cate's princess hat. Cate was singing Twinkle Twinkle at the top of her lungs and kept shushing me when I told her to look at the camera. You know, because I was waking up the babies.

>> Cookie delivery with the young women after dinner and then a solo trip to Target. That red rooster jumped right off that shelf and into my cart. Strangest thing. Santa wants me to wrap it up and stick it under the tree. Merry Christmas to me!

Some days I can't believe all the stuff we do. Good golly. I remember the days when I woke up at 5:30 for work, stayed there for 10 hours, came home and maybe made dinner and then spent the rest of the night on the couch in my jammies.

Look at all the fun I was missing out on.

Adorable snowman! I set out to take 12 pictures yesterday. I even took one of breakfast. And then I took the kids to school and went for a walk and realized that I was missing photo opportunities and that no one wants to see me wrapping gifts in front of How I Met Your Mother episodes.

Cute rooster! I have a 10 year old white rooster (we call him Henri) that also jumped into my cart at Target. He's a pain to dust, but I love him.
