when girls go camping

They make sure to bring along a few menfolk to help with the putting up of tents and various piece-o-crap shade giving canopies.

They watch those menfolk (and a few womenfolk) as they sit around and shoot the breeze and fall asleep behind their girly sunglasses.

They spread out tablecloths and give each other manicures.

Some of them get manicures that remind them of a galaxy far, far away.

They catch butterflies on their dainty hands.

They take pictures of the menfolk in goofy hats.

They dress up in cardboard boxes and smile all the while.

They do their hair up all fancy like.

They hone their acting skills.

Oh, my!

They laugh.
They play.
They sing.
They learn.
They become friends.

And some of them eat way more than their fair share of s'mores and go home wishing they'd applied a lot more sunscreen.

But there's always next year.
