gingerbread play dough

Here's what you do when you're the mom who didn't make gingerbread houses with her kids this Christmas season (and not because you don't want to be the mom who makes gingerbread houses with her kids, it's just that you don't want to overload them with too many awesome Christmas traditions and maybe you'll just save that one for next year since they're young enough this year to not know that they're missing out).

They'll always love gingerbread houses right? Even teenagers will make gingerbread houses with you. But how long will they love play dough? A few more years maybe. Gotta do the gingerbread play dough while they'll still love it.

It smells great. Danny couldn't stop taking big whiffs of the stuff.

"It smells sooooo yummy!"

Here's what you need:

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup water

Mix it up in a pan until it thickens and looks like play dough.
Cool for a few minutes and then let the kids have their fun!
