flutter
Sometimes I take 20 pictures trying to get a good one. The One.
Click click click click click click. You get the idea.
I scroll through all the shots and pass by all the ones where her back is turned or she's too far away or I caught her on the closed part of an eye blink.
And then I find The One. This is it.
This is Cate. This picture totally captures who she is right now in her little life. I love it. I'm going to blow it up big and frame it. Or turn it into a magnet. Or cross stitch it on a pillow. I don't know. I've got big plans for this picture though.
She wanted to wear last year's Halloween costume over to Aunt Judy's house on Sunday for dinner.
I let her because why not? It's funny to me that it's a size 18-24 months and she's wearing it as a 4-year-old. Heck, she wore it as a 3-year-old too. Ha.
She danced around the front yard singing a song about how she loves to flutter. Just singing away like she didn't have a care in the world. Just happy to be there. Happy to be a butterfly fluttering around the yard.
I love it.
I wish I could be more like her.
