the art of the brick

Aunt Judy and I took these goobers to Park City last weekend. We went to see The Art of the Brick. It's an art exhibition consisting of stuff made entirely of Legos. Pretty cool. My favorite was the crayons. Danny's was the Lego guy's bum (of course).

It's free and open until the 21st so if you're from around these parts, go take a look. We left the two littlest goobers home with their dads and I'd have to say that was a brilliant choice. It only took a few minutes to walk around the room oohing and aahing at the cool creations. One time around the room and Danny was done. Jarrett spent most of his time making something out of Legos at the table in the lobby. Kids are funny.

We took a stroll up the street after we were all done with the Lego stuff. I've never spent much time in Park City. It's a lovely little city. I can see why all the fancy schmancy artsy fartsy movie star people hold their little film festivals and such there. Very hip and trendy for sure. I'm sure we stuck out as the tourists that we were.

After a stroll up and back down the street we headed over to the City Park to play (in the drizzling rain). This building is just next to the park. It's the city library. As you can clearly see from the sign, it used to be a hospital for the miners working in the city. Isn't it adorable?

And then we came home, where Danny probably went straight to his room and built something out of Legos. He likes to do that.

Have you guys been to LEGOLAND? Seriously that place is overpriced, but the stuff that they make out of legos is amazing. Looks like a fun little adventure to Park City!
