Danny would agree.
A few after school quotes:
"This is the best day ever!"
"Mommy, this was the best day of my life!"
and when I asked how school went:
"Grrrrrrrrreat!"
I asked if he counted by 4's for his teacher.
He said no.
Maybe he'll do it tomorrow.
Being the good little mommy that I am, I had a snack waiting when he came home.
Chocolate milk and cookie dough balls.
I've waited a very long time to be able to have cookies and milk waiting for my kid
when he comes home from school. Isn't that what the good little mommies do?
Danny prefers cookie dough so that's what he got.
(from a package of course...I'm not that good)

I was excited for Danny to start school today.
And I told him so, many times.
I wasn't sad.
I didn't cry.
I didn't even think about crying.
I'm not sad that my baby is growing up.
I'm happy for him.
School is a wonderful place and I'm excited for him to be there.
(I only worried a little bit that he'd know where the bathrooms are
because I forgot to show him at back to school night.)
Danny has watched his big cousins start kindergarten and has been ready for his turn.

It finally came today and I'm glad it was grrrrrrrreat for him!

And because these poses crack me up, a few more.

Yea, yea, yea for Danny!! So exciting. I'm so glad he had a great first day! (And you, too.) :) And I LOVE the shots Cate took. She's quite the photographer.
